Julia Battistin
“What Do I want to be when I grow up?” As children, we often ask ourselves this question. We all have dreams or visions of what we want to be. Whether it’s an astronaut, fireman, ballerina, or even the president, we imagine our futures in a particular way. Most of the time these visions change and become more practical as we grow older. Often we believe that our childhood dreams are out of reach or are just fantasies. For me, I will not let this happen. I have always known and will continue to strive to be a successful singer/songwriter.
These are the words of singer/songwriter, pianist, and producer, Julia Battistin. Julia is now a graduate of Berklee College of Music who is making a buzz in the music industry with her wide variety of talents. She has performed in various venues on the East Coast including New York City and Boston and lived in Nashville for the past 4 years performing all around and outside the city. She is now back taking on the music scene in NYC and working in Music Therapy. In Spring 2016 she received the ASCAP Bart Howard Songwriting Scholarship Award for her achievements in songwriting. She has performed a duet on stage with her idol and inspiration, Sara Bareilles. Julia also has a minor in Musical Theater Writing and is finishing up her first full length musical including script, lyrics, and music. While Julia loves writing and performing for herself, she also loves writing and producing for other artists, and is working toward getting her music in film/TV.
